The Midsömmer Festival

The longest days of the year have come to Medius, and with them the great Midsömmer Festival. Across the realm, hearths are lit, songs are carried upon the warm winds, and warriors lay down their burdens, if only for a single night, to celebrate the bounty granted by the Summer Sun. It is a season of strength, fellowship, and abundance; a reminder that every harvest, every victory, and every life owes its debt to the light above.
 

Yet the sun is not merely a gift.
 

Ancient stories speak of Helios the Ægis, a celestial figure whose radiance has watched over Medius since before kingdoms drew their first breath. To stand before such a being is to face the unyielding judgment of the heavens themselves, for the sun grants life freely... but it also burns away all that is found wanting.
 

But who... or what... is Helios?
 

Is he a remnant of the Ægis, the legendary host of benevolent angels revered throughout Medius for their mercy, guidance, and unwavering compassion? A forgotten member of that sacred order whose purpose has endured long after history itself has faded? Or is Helios something altogether different... something older than the Ægis, merely wearing a face the people of Medius can understand?

As the festival reaches its zenith and the bonfires reach toward the stars, an ancient radiance stirs once more. Whether Helios the Ægis descends as guardian, judge, or executioner remains to be seen. Those who would call themselves heroes must decide whether they possess the strength to endure the heart of the sun itself.

Attendees of the Midsömmer Festival are encouraged to adorn themselves in symbols of the sun, vitality, harvest, and triumph. Traditional Northbourne colors of Blue accented with Gold remain appropriate for those serving the realm, though all travelers are encouraged to incorporate radiant whites, warm golds, brilliant yellows, fiery oranges, or vibrant summer florals into their attire to celebrate the height of the season.
 

This is a camping event, and all participants must provide their own self-standing tent and camping equipment. No alcohol will be provided, though attendees 21 years of age or older may bring their own and enjoy it responsibly. CER LARP Festivals are appropriate for ages 13+ during daytime activities when accompanied by an adult; however, no one under the age of 18 may remain on site after 8:00 PM without an accompanying adult.
 

All tickets must be paid and waivers signed prior to play. This may be completed at the event with a valid photo ID and cash. We look forward to celebrating the height of summer; and testing our mettle beneath the gaze of the Helios.
